March 1, 2011 – Primonics has been chosen to deploy its TeleCorrections Video Visitation system, including 11 TeleCorrections terminals and TeleCorrections managed video visitation services at the Department of Corrections for Sullivan County, New Hampshire.

Sullivan County’s Department of Corrections chose TeleCorrections to provide video visitations to offer increased visitation hours, enhance security as well as save the county money.

The solution removes the need to move inmates to and from their housing locations and reduces the entry of contraband into the facility. These factors significantly help to improve the safety and security of facilities, facility staff, as well as inmates.

By selecting to use the TeleCorrections managed video visitation services the county saves time and money by removing the burden and costs of managing the system. Primonics maintains and monitors the system 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

March 2, 2009 – Primonics (2006) Inc, a leading software manufacturer and systems integrator, today announced that the Department of Corrections for Westchester County in New York state has successfully deployed Primonics’ TeleCorrections system. Westchester County Department of Corrections selected Primonics’ TeleCorrections system to reduce the need for physical visits to the jail which provided a way of reducing costs for the county and the state. Sgt. Don Smith, Technical Services Supervisor said, “It’s all part of Westchester County’s efforts to use technology to save money and improve efficiency and security.” County officers like bail expeditors and probation officers don’t have to visit the jail. It saves on the cost of transportation and of correction officers to take the prisoners in and out of the housing locations. The system allows the county officers and inmates to see and hear each other. The county projects that using TeleCorrections will save about $300,000 a year.” Dave Hinse, VP for Primonics said, “Our hardened terminals and secure network allow bail expeditors, probation officers, parole officers, and attorneys to securely communicate with an inmate directly in their housing unit from anywhere an internet connection is available. Our open architecture allows the terminals to not only provide video visitation but also act as an electronic billboard that provides inmates controlled access to information such as court appearances, sick calls as well as provides a way to order commissary.”
